It's been an incredible 12 years – so much more dynamic and transformative than we could have ever anticipated – and now it's time to celebrate you, and us, and this whole weird, wonderful enterprise that we call Spektral Quartet. And if there's one thing we can say for certain, its that we've done it all with no ragrets.
This is going to be the biggest party we've ever produced. Two of Chicago's best food trucks, Soul & Smoke BBQ and The Tamale Spaceship (with veggie and vegan options), will be parked right in the courtyard while three (count 'em) open bars will be at your service throughout the night. You'll be treated to guest appearances by punk heroes Paper Mice, dancefloor divas Iverson, and sexy saxophonistas ~Nois. We'll even have a curated exhibit featuring Spektral relics and arcana for your pleasure and bewilderment, and our favorite DJ, Max Tamahori, spinning the deep cuts throughout the night.
At its heart, this event is a chance to connect, individually and meaningfully, with you. It's a chance to relive all the memories we've created together over the past decade. And because music has always been the catalyst for our time together, we'll perform some of the scores that have impacted us (and hopefully you) the most. For the icing on the proverbial cake, though literal cake will also be served, we’ll play you the world premiere of our white-hot new commission from Miguel Zenón, Esquinas.
Saying goodbye isn't easy, but with you there, we're sure as hell going to go out with a bang.

Note: For the safety and comfort of all our guests, we will require that all guests show proof of vaccination upon entry at the event. In addition, we will set our masking policy in early June based on the City of Chicago's public health guidelines at that time, and will communicate our policy to you in an email we will send you days before the event.
